Vending Solutions, LLC. Partners with Local Energy Company and Utility to Save Customers Money

Seattle, WA January 24, 2006 – Vending Solutions announced it is working with SBW Consulting Inc. (SBW), a local energy consulting firm based in Bellevue, WA and Puget Sound Energy (PSE), Washington State’s largest investor-owned energy utility, in an effort to lower overall electricity consumption in the region.  Vending Solutions is assisting SBW and PSE with the VendingMiser® Installation Program, which is a free service that is provided by PSE in their electric service territory in King and Pierce Counties.  PSE may offer the service in other areas later this year or next.

VendingMiser® is a technological breakthrough in intelligent and economical control of cold beverage vending machines, which significantly reduces energy consumption without compromising the vended product.  It uses a passive infrared sensor to determine when the surrounding area is vacant, the device powers down the cold beverage vending machine to conserve energy when no one is in the area.

“You can reduce the electricity use of each cold beverage vending machine by an average of 40% per machine annually,” said Michael Baker, Vice President of of SBW when asked about actual VendingMiser® energy savings.

“We can partner with the vendors in the Puget Sound area and go directly to the locations with the offer of the VendingMiser® Program” said Rick Totten, Sales Director at Vending Solutions.

Vending Solutions is a national vending management company that manages the vending services for over two million apartment units nationwide. Vending Solutions services a wide variety of industries including hospitality resorts, multifamily apartment communities as well as commercial real estate.
